Global Thought Leadership Institute at APQC Appoints Jeff Pundyk to Board of Advisors

Houston, Texas | August 10, 2026

Veteran publisher and thought leadership executive brings decades of experience from Deloitte Insights, The McKinsey Quarterly, and The Economist

The Global Thought Leadership Institute (GTLI) at APQC, a not-for-profit organization advocating for the standardized practice, production, and promotion of thought leadership, has named Jeff Pundyk, a Managing Director at Deloitte Services LP, to its Board of Advisors.

“Jeff is one of the most respected voices in the thought leadership community,” said Anthony Marshall, Chair of the Board of Advisors for GTLI and Senior Partner and Vice President for the IBM Institute for Business Value. “His knowledge, credibility, and deep commitment to advancing the practice of thought leadership make him an exceptional addition to our board. Jeff already has strong relationships with many of our advisors and a genuine belief in the work GTLI is doing. We are excited to capitalize on Jeff’s experience as we continue building the premier global organization of and for thought leadership professionals.”

“This is an important time for professionals in our industry to take a step back and really think through what makes our work impactful,” Pundyk said. “I’m looking forward to collaborating with GTLI to lean into the moment.”

Pundyk serves as publisher of Deloitte Insights, the organization’s flagship publication. He has spent his professional life helping blue-chip organizations strengthen and expand business relationships by creating and sharing provocative, timely knowledge, including roles as publisher of The McKinsey Quarterly and senior vice president at The Economist. Pundyk began his career as a reporter and editor at a daily newspaper in New Jersey before moving into B2B technology publishing, where he was among the early media professionals to embrace the Internet as a publishing platform and served as founding editor of TechWeb in the early 1990s.

Convened by APQC, the GTLI Board of Advisors helps to define leading practices, refine global standards, and advance the professional practice of thought leadership in an era of unprecedented change and AI-driven disruption. Together, these advisors bring knowledge and experience across research, strategy, publishing, consulting, and academia—designed to make GTLI credible, practitioner-led, and grounded in real-world impact.

Pundyk joins the board of advisors, which includes thought leadership specialists from organizations such as Accenture, EY, FinListics Solutions, IBM, KPMG, McKinsey & Company, The Institute for Thought Leadership, and Weber Shandwick.
